Raytheon RTX Forging Supplier India: Missile and Propulsion Components


Raytheon Technologies (RTX) — through its Raytheon Missiles & Defense and Pratt & Whitney divisions – consumes forged titanium, Inconel, and alloy steel structural components for Tomahawk cruise missiles, AIM-120 AMRAAM, Patriot missile systems, and F135/F119 military aeroengines. Indian forging manufacturers with AS9100D, ITAR infrastructure, and Ti-6Al-4V ring rolling capability are positioned to supply Raytheon through its US tier-1 supply chain.

Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) : Tomahawk body section rings (Ti-6Al-4V, Ø520mm), AMRAAM guidance section rings (Ti-6Al-4V, Ø178mm), Patriot missile structural rings. All programme drawings ITAR-controlled – TAA required. AS9100D mandatory. MIL-SPEC heat treatment and NDE.
Pratt & Whitney : F135 engine rotating component forgings Inconel 718 compressor discs, Ti-6Al-4V fan discs. NADCAP mandatory for heat treatment and NDE. PWA specification requirements apply.
Access pathway : RMD missile programme supply requires TAA establishment (3–6 months DDTC processing). The most accessible Raytheon entry point is through P&W commercial engine supply (GTF engine for A320neo) commercial aeroengine programmes have lower ITAR barriers than military propulsion.
